In Loving Memory

It is with great sadness that the family of Matthew ‘Matt’ F. K. Loh, 56, of Calgary, Alberta announces that he passed away on March 2, 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Matt will be lovingly remembered by his children Brittany (Logan) Gray, Joshua, Madison, Declan and their mother Patricia, his parents John and Inge, his brother Michael (Angela) and their children. Matt will also be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Matt moved with his family to Calgary in 1977. His life, career, family and interests lead him across the world from Indonesia to Tuktoyaktuk. As a respected Civil Engineer in the energy sector, Matt was a devoted mentor, friend and loyal colleague to many throughout his career.

Matt served on boards, committees and volunteered for numerous organizations, usually in support of his children’s Ringette, Hockey and Soccer. He was a long time member of Grace Presbyterian Church where he also was an elder. In addition he was a proud and tireless supporter of the Ride to Conquer Cancer and was preparing to ride in his fifth race.

Matt touched a lot of people through his generosity and helpfulness and was always willing to do what was needed to get the job done. He will be missed immeasurably.
